Steering

steering@salemdsa.org

The Steering Committee is a body of representatives that have been elected by our chapter's membership in order to make decisions between general chapter meetings.

Each member of Steering is a Chapter Officer, read about their roles below:

Co-Chairs

Salem DSA has two Co-Chairs that share the responsibility of presiding over Chapter Meetings and Steering Meetings as well as coordinating day to day operations of our chapter's committees.

Communications Facilitator

This officer is responsible for answering all correspondence and queries directed at the local chapter through social media or other means. They also take notes at Chapter Meetings and Steering Meetings and keep our membership list up to date.

Treasurer

The Treasurer manages our chapter's funds, financial records, and chairs the Finance Committee. Every year the Treasurer delivers a financial report to the chapter membership at Chapter Meeting but many other reports are also given as needed throughout the year.

Committee Representatives

Each Committee in Salem DSA elects an officer to vote on their behalf on Steering. The representative of each respective committee is also in charge of keeping the rest of Steering up to date with their Committee's new developments and events.
